This safari is available from November - April.
We offer tailor made safaris and also our popular small group safaris that leave on set dates.

Day 1 Delhi
On arrival at Delhi airport (Indria Gandhi International) you will be met by our representative and transfer to your hotel to settle in, rest and acclimatise after your international flight.

Day 2 Delhi sightseeing Delhi is a vibrant city rich in culture, architecture, beautiful gardens and human diversity. Its history is reflected in its magnificent monuments, museums and galleries. The city comprises two contrasting yet harmonious parts, Old Delhi and New Delhi.
Old Delhi was the capital of Muslim India from the twelfth to the nineteenth centuries, while New Delhi was created by the British Raj and replaced Calcutta as the capital in 1931. We split this day into two halves, first a morning visiting the sights and sounds of the old town, followed by an afternoon trip to experience new Delhi, accompanied by a private guide.
After breakfast you will be picked up by your guide and driver for a morning sightseeing around Old Delhi, including:
Jama Masjid: This highly decorative Mosque is the largest Mosque in India. Built in1658, it has two 40 metre high minarets constructed of strips of red sandstone and white marble.
Chandni Chowk: The bustling oriental bazaar built in 1650. Here you’ll hop on a rickshaw for a ride around the maze-like streets and alleys, taking in the sights, sounds and aromatic smells of the historical spice market which is still operating today.
Red Fort (Exterior): The red sandstone walls of the massive Red Fort stretch some two kilometres, rising 33 meters above the clamour of Old Delhi.
Raj Ghat: This marks the place where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated after being assassinated in 1948. Set in a lovely garden on the banks of the Yamuna River
Lunch
Your afternoon tour of New Delhi includes:
Qutab Minar: An excellent example of Afghan architecture, with a 73 metre hand carved “tower of victory”.
Humayun’s Tomb: Built in 1565 AD this striking and beautiful tomb’s design evolved into the Taj Mahal.
India Gate: At the eastern end of the Raj Path in New Delhi stands the 42 metre high India Gate. An "arch of triumph” it commemorates the 90,000 Indian soldiers who lost their lives during the World War I and North West Frontier campaigns.
Day 3 Bandhavgarh National Park
Mid morning flight from Delhi to Jabalpur and car transfer to your Bandhavgarh lodge.
Bandhavgarh National Park consists of a core area of 105 sq km and a buffer area of approximately 400 sq km and has the highest density of Tigers in India. Bandhavgarh is one of Indias most scenic National Parks, its dramatic landscape features tropical forests, woodlands and steep rocky hills with grasslands in the valleys below. The forest is renowned for the Royal Bengal Tigers. Other species include leopard, Jackal, Jungle Cat, Wild Boar, Deer, Sloth Bear, two species of monkey (Macaque and Langur), birds of prey such as the Steppe eagle and a variety of wildfowl.
Day 4 & 5 Bandhavgarh National Park
Enjoy morning and evening game drives within the Tiger reserve. Game drives are the best way to experience wildlife and wild habitats. Safaris are conducted by qualified and experienced naturalists in open, four passenger, 4x4 Gypsy (jeeps).
Game drives leave from your lodge just after dawn and normally continue through until 10:45, stopping for a packed breakfast within the reserve. Evening game drives aim to enter the reserve at 15:30, returning to your lodge before dark and in time for dinner.
Day 6 Bandhavgarh and Kanha
Your last morning game drive within Bandhavgarh National Park, thereafter transfer by car to Kanha National Park (4-5 hours).
Kanha is one of India's largest and most remote wildlife habitats, covering 940 sq km of forest and lightly wooded grasslands. An extensive network of rivers and streams support it Sal and bamboo forests, rolling grasslands and prolific variety of flora and fauna that was designated as a National Park in 1976. Since 1955 a series of stringent conservation programmes for the protection of the park's flora and fauna has given Kanha its deserved reputation for being one of the finest, best administered, National Parks in Asia.

As well as Tigers, Kanha National Park has an excellent variety of wildlife including Leopards, Chital, Sambar, three striped palm Squirrel, common Langur and Jackal. A favourite place to view sunset in the park is known locally as (surprise, surprise) Sunset Point. This is one of the most beautiful areas, from where the dense luxuriance of Kanha's forests can be seen.
